Summer Clay Camps 2026
We have a very exciting series of week-long Summer Clay Camps coming up this summer for ages 7-11! All Clay Camps will take place at my home studio in Hood River. Clay Camps will be held outdoors, weather permitting. During Clay Camps, students will learn the basic methods of handbuiling with clay including pinching, coiling, slab building, and carving through a variety of games and activities. Read on to learn about each of the clay camps available this summer!
Wearable Clay Camp
In the Wearable Clay Camp, students will create a variety of wearable clay art. Projects include, but are not limited to jewelry, bolo ties, hair accessories, and bandana slides. Students will learn about small project construction as well as jewelry assembly. If you’ve got an eye for design and want to share your creations through your everyday outfit selections, this is the camp for you! Previous experience not required.

Hanging with Clay Camp
In the Hanging With Clay Camp, students will create a series of clay projects that hang from the wall or ceiling. Projects include, but are not limited to clay shelves, pocket vases, tile art, and picture frames. Students will learn about project construction predominantly using slab building and various methods for displaying clay projects on a vertical surface. Previous experience not required.

Projects include, but are not limited to planters, bird houses, plant markers, and watering devices. Students will learn about inventive ways of using clay to make highly functional objects. Previous experience not required.
