Lessons are open to children and adults and are structured around learning the basic methodologies of handbuilding with clay, in other words without the use of a pottery wheel. We cover the practices of pinch pots, coil building, slab building, and sculpting and then developing those skills and learning how to plan and create projects. Lessons can also be project based if there are specific objects that you'd like to make. Lessons are offered on a recurring weekly basis and on a one-time or occasional basis. Lessons can be scheduled Mondays - Fridays from 9:00am-6:00pm and are available in 1, 1.5 , and 2 hour time blocks, depending on what works best for your schedule/interest level.
Rates are as follows:
1 Person Lesson: $40/hour
2 Person Group Lesson: $60/hour
3 Person Group Lesson: $75/hour
4 Person Group Lesson: $85/hour
All of the materials & kiln costs are included in the lesson fee. A discount is offered for people interested in multiple lessons, where if you purchase 4 lessons, you get a 5th one free. To schedule a lesson, email Kate.
